. a bergere is an enclosed French armchair with an upholstered back and armrests on upholstered frames. That being said, these don't look like bergeres, but maybe we can call them "armless" bergeres. Nevertheless, their design is consistent with a bergere in the sense that a bergere is designed for comfort and lounging.
