Yea!!! Wonderful. So interesting what can happen when we make time even when we struggle with it. Great colors too.

Right now I'm wanting those Thai Chicken Cakes...

Some days we just have those "blocks" and it's best to leave well enough alone- don't you think? It's especially frustrating when it is all so clear in your head and heart- but the brush doesn't cooperate.
Love your work Milly~

Same here, I guess this happens to all.
I have some paintings and sketches that I dare not post but sometimes I also post them.....
I guess I know the colour-coordination well but can't do good.....not master the techniques yet.
So now, I need to go browsing some useful sites and try hands on exercise.
Every artist go through that painting routine, getting some tips from tutors or lecturers...
but I have to do all by myself now because i never study fine art before.
Self taught study take a longer process where I just started now.
Don't worry, it's OK, you will find your true spirit if you what to! There are ways......
Good luck. I am very sure.

I just glance thru your previous post. All are so inspiring.
I love your paintings and photographies.
Beautiful vibrant colours used and I love your skywatch photos, they are so professional and awesome!
Please continue your good effort!

Thank you for all your comments!! Blogging about this stuff tends to help with the block.

I am off to Atlanta this weekend and am going to the Aquarium so I am hoping to find some inspiration there. Stay Tuned!

Don't go swimming with the fishes!

{pauses to enjoy own witticism}

The sequence has some handsome pieces that work well (I particularly like the brushstrokes on the middle piece), but it's all in whether you're feeling it yourself, isn't it? Have you ever tried drawing from a model, you could probably find something in the area on Craig's List. That might be a fun change of pace for you to try.

I wish I could help! =) Have fun in Atlanta...I almost wrote Tahoe by mistake. It must have been from reading your comment! See you aren't the only one with a block lol! Have a good weekend!

Hi! Thanks for the comment :} I did draw those, I really like the idea of grimm character design, and would like to try to do it for a living some day. I'm not very good at color drawings though, and I'm amazed by your vividness, and color choice for outlines. They are very inspiring, and I'm glad you found me!
Thanks again, and painters block is the worst, especially when you feel something pressing against your mind telling you to "create create create!" blehh

You'll get your groove back...it happens to each of us.

And this post made me smile, thanks.

Thanks for your comment! I hope you're over the block by now. :)
I also wanted to use this space to tell you that I made a banana-holder elephant from clay, and if you want, I can send you a picture of it, since you like elephants so much. Interested?
